Virgil and Twila Wolford

Virgil and Twila Wolford of Dryfork will celebrate their 70th anniversary Nov. 15.

The couple were married Nov. 15, 1946, at Red house, Maryland, by the Rev. Alva K. Jones.

Mrs. Wolford is the daughter of the late Edward and Chloe Bodkin Simmons. She has been a member of Blackwater Rebecca Lodge 274 for more than 50 years,

Mr. Wolford is the son of the late Robert and Florence Jane Wolford. He has been a member of Davis IOOF Lodge 103 for more than 60 years, is a past president of the Flanagan Hill Development Corp. and has served on the board of directors for the Tucker County Senior Citizens.

They are members of Harman Church of Brethern and enjoy visits to the Harman Senior Center, attending Flanagan Hill Outpost events and spending time with family.

They are the parents of five children, the late Terry Wolford, Cathy Rummel and Larry of Belington, Shirley Wolfe and Jim of Nutter Fort, Ron Wolford and Brenda and Don Wolford and Tammy of Dryfork. They also have six grandchildren, Nicole Painter, Steven Wolford (Stacy), David Wolford, Jenna Wolfe, Michael Wolfe (Markie) and Travis Rummel (Sarah); and eight great-grandchildren, Jacob and Camryn Painter, Dakota and Reilly Wolford, Elijah and Logan Wolfe and Olivia and Margaret Rummel.
