Family enjoys Howes reunion

The annual Howes reunion was Aug. 2 at Indian Camp.

The president, Junior Howes, opened the meeting up with prayer and thanked God for our food and friends to share it with, while also remembering ones who have passed away, Daniel Kittle and David Lee.

The business meeting opened with president Junior Howes reading John 10:9-11. Minutes were read and approved. The treasure report was given and approved. Under old business, Junior Howes gave a grill, for the family will be reimbursing him. Under new business, Eloise Chapman made a motion to have chicken next year, seconded by Carol Chapman. The motion was voted on and passed. Come join in next year for some chicken. Vice President Jennifer Kimble would like everyone to bring actual or copies of old pictures to put on display for everyone to see.

Lori Howes made a motion to keep the officers the same, seconded by Shelby Howes. The motion was voted on and passed. President Junior Howes, Vice President Jennifer Kimble, Secretary Berta Thompson and Treasurer Eloise Chapman are the officers.

The raffle for the kids was won by Michael Kimble, Rylee Chapman and Hunter Henry.
