Garden Program to open for 2018
ELKINS — North Central Community Action will take 2018 Garden Program applications starting April 2.
The Garden Program was designed to help families supplement their food supply by providing seeds, plants and education on gardening. Participants will receive a voucher to purchase vegetable or fruit plants and seeds.
Qualifying applicants must be at or below 125 percent of the federal poverty guidelines for their family size. When completing an application for the program, they will need to attach proof of all household income. All completed applications must be turned in by April 23.
Household income guidelines are listed as the following: family of one, $15,175; family of two, $20,575; family of three, $25,975; family of four, $31,375; family of five, $36,775; and family of six, $42,175.
Applications can be picked up at the Randolph County Community Action building at 938 S. Davis Ave., Elkins.
