Local cadette scout earns Summit award

ELKINS — Girl Scouts of Black Diamond council, Randolph County Service Unit, hosted the annual pinning ceremony March 13.

Holly Harper, a cadette scout with Troop 35041, was presented with the Journey Summit Award. A Summit Award is given to a Girl Scout at any level who completes three different Journey series and the associated Take Action Projects during the two to three years she holds that rank.

Harper is the daughter of Dan and Lynne Harper of Elkins, and the granddaughter of Chester and Norma Harper of the Harding community.
