Ensemble presents Spring Concert

ELKINS — The Elkins High School Vocal Ensemble recently performed its Spring Concert for the residents at the Elkins Rehabilitation and Care Center.

The choir opened the concert by visiting and handing out handmade spring cards to residents in attendance. Music began with the choir singing the following repertoire: “Rise” by Katy Perry, Hebrew selection “Erev shel Shoshanim” by Jack Klebanow, “Thistle and Rose” by Phyllis Wolfe-White, Celtic Woman-“O America” by Roger Emerson, “Homeward Bound” by Marin Keen, “My Home Among the Hills” by E.W James and “A Blessing” by Jay Althouse.

Director Liz Marshall MacVean gave commentary on each selection, while piano accompaniment was played by Deb Super.

Elkins High Vocal Ensemble choir members for 2017-2018 are: Autumn Baker, Sarah Bodkins, Logan Campbell, Nathasha Carpenter, Briana Celli, Sierra Channell, Joseph Daniels, Jaide Elbon, Andrea Gorosabel, Savannah Hamby, Alicia Hedrick, Erin Hohl, Hailey Lanham, Tess Mccartney, Emilee Mearns, Alex Pritt, Jessica Rexrode, Sara Ross, Alyssa Ruggiero, Liliana Sigley, Taylor Summerfield, Chloie Taylor, Koragon Weirich, Harmony Wilson, Tyra Wilson and Brooklyn Wyatt.
