Davis & Elkins College celebrated the reopening of Paull Gallery with a reception and watercolor exhibit by Susan S. Johnston, a former resident of Elkins and one of the founding members of Artists at Work. Marking the occasion are, from left, Dr. William N. Johnston; D&E’s first lady, Lisa Wood; Susan Johnston; and D&E President Chris A. Wood, who welcomed guests from the campus and area communities. The gallery, located on the second floor of Myles Center for the Arts, recently received several upgrades including new flooring and paint, as well as directional lighting. The space will return to its origin as an art exhibit arena featuring works by students, faculty and community members. The exhibit, ‘A Forest Festival,’ will remain on display through mid-May.
