EHS Ag classes work on grounds

Submitted photos Intro to Agriculture Class members Matt Smart, Lexi Morici, Caleb Workman, Jesse King, Haley Harris, Logan Campbell, Madison Dillon, and Heather Harris put the finishing touches on a flower bed at the entrance to EHS.
Fish and Wildlife Class did their part as well. Members Daniel Scott, Dillon Yrizarry, Eli Mullenex, Jordan Phillips, Kaylynn Owens and Tessa Chenoweth take care of the weeds and mulching in part of the courtyard.
EHS principal Chris Hamrick takes out an unsightly tree and seniors Ashton Michaels and Kaylee Judy put mulch down in a flowerbed in the front of the school.

ELKINS — Every year all the agriculture classes at Elkins High School work to make the grounds look neat and attractive for graduation day. This year was no different and after weeks of weeding, sweeping, raking and spreading mulch the entrance was ready for the arrival of family and friends and the courtyard was ready for the reception for the graduates.

The Introduction to Agriscience class did most of the work, but all the classes pitched in, including Companion Animal Class. Dodging rain and getting mulch under their fingernails, the students worked hard to help make this night special for the seniors.
