DMC, Rotary to offer screening
ELKINS — A community blood and health screening sponsored by Davis Medical Center and the Rotary Club of Elkins will be from 7:30-10:30 a.m. Thursday at Davis Medical Center’s outpatient waiting area.
The multi-phasic blood panel will include CBC, comprehensive metabolic panel, lipid panel and uric acid. Other tests available at discounted prices include thyroid (TSH) and thyroid profile, PSA (prostate), testosterone, 25-hydroxy Vitamin D, HbA1c (diabetes), C-Reactive Protein (CRP) , Iron, Total Iron Binding Capacity (TIBC) and Vitamin B12, folate.
Pre-registration for the multi-phasic screen is not required however individuals should fast for 12 hours before getting blood tests to ensure the most accurate results. Payment may be made at the time of the test by check, credit card or cash.
Other free screenings will be provided by DMC.
