D&E College schedules Day of Giving

ELKINS — For 24 hours on Tuesday, everyone who cares about Davis & Elkins College will have a chance to come together, if not in person, in the virtual world. The fourth annual Day of Giving, when D&E friends and alumni express their gratitude by playing a part in the College’s future, takes place online and through social media.

Since 2015, the D&E Day of Giving has played an important part in helping the College continue its daily operations and take steps toward new ventures. Each event has met or exceeded its goals. Organizers expect this year will be no different and emphasize no gift is too small.

“In the past, D&E alumni and friends have shown their love and support for the College,” said Director of Development Karen Wilmoth, a 1983 graduate of the College. “Their gifts ensure that future generations of Senators will have access to a quality, affordable education rooted in the liberal arts.”

As always, gifts can be designated to specific endeavors — an academic program, athletics, maintenance or the general fund, among others.

Gifts may be made at any time by visiting the D&E website, www.dewv.edu, and clicking on “Give Online” or by texting DEGIVING to 41444. Checks can be mailed to: Office of Institutional Advancement, Davis & Elkins College, 100 Campus Drive, Elkins, WV 26241. Everyone is invited to follow the progress through D&E’s Facebook and Twitter accounts.
