BUCKHANNON — Acclaimed local artist Sara Golden will display “The Stream of Collective Consciousness Series”, an exhibit of original art based upon a word-a-day in the form of greeting cards and prints, at the Upshur Country Public Library today, starting at 10 a.m., and Friday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Several of the cards have inspired inscriptions.
Golden is donating 20 percent of earnings this week to the library.
“I enjoy spending time with people, showing my art, and sharing my writing. A couple of years ago I did an artist in residence exhibit here. My writing is thought provoking and displaying at the library is a great way to reach people who are seeking knowledge and personal truths,”| she said.
Golden is a mixed media artist using watercolor, acrylic, color pencil and ink. She will provide live demonstrations throughout the exhibit.
A popular Tamarac artist, Golden exhibits and sells her series at Artistry on Main in Buckhannon; Artist at Work, in Elkins; and West Virginia Heritage Crafts, in Quiet Dell. Prints are available in various sizes and mediums for sale ranging from $5 to $50.
Watch for her at Festival Fridays at Jawbone Park. For more information about Golden visit www.artofsara.com.
