CEOS club set to host international student speaker

The Upshur County Community Education Outreach Service will be honored to host International Student Parintorn “Pim” Pankaew from Thailand with a salad buffet at the Way of Holliness Fellowship Hall May 21.

Pankaew is pursuing a bachlelor’s degree in music at West Virginia University. Her ultimate goal is to be a university professor, and she plans to earn her master’s and doctoral degrees in the United States, then bring her knowledge of music home to Thailand. She will display her talent with piano selections and give a presentation of her life in her country of Thialand.

The community is invited to attend and listen to this talented young lady and learn how she is able to realize her dream of visiting our country. The event is free to the public and we urge all CEOS Clubs and members to join us as we welcome Pankaew to Buckhannon and Upshur County.

Pringle Tree CEOS club vice-president will be providing travel and overnight accommodations for Pankaew with assistance from Sharon Stackpole. The Salad Buffet will be served by the Upshur County CEOS at noon and is free for everyone to attend. Pankaew’s presentation will start at 1 p.m.

A “Love Offering” jar will be set on the registration table if you would like to make a monetary donation to help Pankaew with her stay in America. Residents are invited to come and welcome Pankaew and give her a special memory of Buckhannon, Upshur County.
