Scott and Nypl, CPAs, A.C. is pleased to announce that Mason Schoonover, a recent Davis & Elkins College graduate, has been hired to the position of staff accountant.

Schoonover, an Elkins native, recently graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree in Accounting and Business Management, and is preparing to take the CPA exam.

“I’m excited to work in public accounting. I was very insistent on staying local, so I was thrilled when they offered me a job upon graduation. Scott and Nypl, CPAs, A.C. is a great place to work because their customer base is large and very diverse, and they are focused on customer service,” Schoonover said.

Schoonover will work in all areas of the firm’s business, including new business startups, bookkeeping, payroll services and tax preparation. The firm services Randolph, Upshur, Tucker, Grant and Pocahontas Counties.

Schoonover attended the schools of Randolph County and currently lives in Elkins. He is the son of Todd and Rebecca Schoonover, grandson of Gary and Ruth Schoonover, and has an older brother, Jacob. In addition to his work responsibilities, he also enjoys coaching for Seneca Soccer and plays various recreational sports in the area.
