Parker to serve as regional recruiter for Wesleyan College

BUCKHANNON — West Virginia Wesleyan College graduate D’andrew Parker, class of 2012, will serve the D.C., Maryland, and Virginia areas as the college’s first regional recruiter in over a decade. Parker will work directly with Dr. Robert Quarles, director of Multicultural Programs and Services, and in collaboration with Admissions Counselor Amanda Harris, counselor for Maryland, and D.C., to serve the Washington, D.C. metro area on the ground in attendance to focused high school events, performances and other activities.

For the past two years, Parker and Quarles have worked together organizing exciting and educational student trips from the region. This year, Parker will focus on a larger scale event, forming a special trip for students from the area to experience all that Wesleyan offers in a comprehensive and immersive experience. These recruitment efforts will build upon accomplishments by Quarles and student leaders in the areas of Multicultural Programs including enhancements to student services, travel, Greek life and campus organizations.

Parker will focus on building deeper relationships between Wesleyan and these communities while also recruiting to the college’s recently formed Gospel Choir.

If you live in the D.C. metro area and would like to contact Parker or to organize a visit or to make contacts, email him at parker.d@wvwc.edu.
