Wesleyan Marching Band to present concert

BUCKHANNON — The 85-member West Virginia Wesleyan College Marching Band will perform in concert at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Culpepper Auditorium in the Virginia Thomas Law Center for the Performing Arts. Admission is free.

The Bobcat Band, under the direction of Logan Lindsey, will feature audience favorites, “Star Trek: Through the Ages” and traditional Wesleyan music. The group performed this fall at Wesleyan home football games and at field shows and festivals in West Virginia including the Mountain State Forest Festival in Elkins.

The concert will mark the band’s first appearance in their new uniforms. Support for the uniforms and various instruments were provided by a $50,000 donation from the Daywood Foundation and several gifts from alumni and parent donors.
