Pierpont postpones spring 2020 graduation

FAIRMONT — As the nation continues to battle the spread of the COVID-19 Pandemic by adhering to social distancing rules, Pierpont Community & Technical College is complying with the recommendations of limiting meetings and gatherings to no more than 10 persons and by offering the flexibility of working and studying remotely.

We, currently, do not know the impact that this pandemic will have on our state, nor do we know how long we will need to adhere to the recommended quarantine protocols.

With these adjustments to the way Pierpont normally operates and the need to ensure the safety of their students and employees, Pierpont must regrettably make the difficult decision to postpone the upcoming 2020 Spring Commencement ceremony that was scheduled on May 7 at the Robinson Grand Performing Arts Center. If you meet the requirements to graduate, Pierpont will continue to award degrees, and diplomas will be mailed out by June 30.

For any questions regarding graduation, contact the Office of the Registrar.
