Ware to assume the position of Spiritual Life Coordinator
BUCKHANNON — The Resident Bishop of the West Virginia Conference of The United Methodist Church, Sandra Steiner Ball, and West Virginia Wesleyan College President, Joel Thierstein, are pleased to announce that West Virginia Wesleyan graduate, Caitlin Ware, will serve as West Virginia Wesleyan College’s United Methodist Church Liaison and Spiritual Life Coordinator effective July 1.
“As a 2020 graduate and an active participant in the spiritual life on campus, Caitlin is uniquely positioned to reflect on her experience with the college in order to help paint a future vision and plan for the Office of Spiritual Life and its Coordinator,” stated Ball. “She is excited about working with college and West Virginia Conference leadership to positively impact the pathway of campus spiritual life, planning, and leadership for present and future students, faculty, staff, and administration.”
Ware’s assignment to this position comes at a time when the College is developing a strategy towards a more rounded student experience that tends to the growth and nurture of body, mind, and spirit. As Ware assumes this year of exploring and helping build a foundation and vision for the future of religious and spiritual life, the college and the leadership of the West Virginia Annual Conference look forward to a continued and strengthened partnership.
“During my time at Wesleyan, Caitlin has been a stalwart member of the spiritual life community on our campus,” Thierstein said. “She has shown tremendous leadership abilities, and we are delighted that she has chosen to continue to share her spiritual gifts with the campus.”
Caitlin Ware is a member of Bailey Memorial United Methodist Church on the Flemington Charge. West Virginia Wesleyan College congratulates Ware on her recent graduation and looks forward to her ministry with the college in this year of visioning and growing in new directions for new times.
