CITRUS FRUIT/RADA SALE: Elkins Area Bands annual citrus fruit/RADA sale will be through Nov. 6. To place an order, see any Elkins High School or Elkins Middle School band student or call 304-636-2721. Pick-up will be Dec. 4.

LANTERN TOURS: The Beverly Heritage Center will be offering Lantern Tours at 7 p.m. today. Advanced reservations are preferred, Groups will be limited to 25 people. For ticket pricing and to make reservations, call 304-637-7424.

BUCKWHEAT AND SAUSAGE BREAKFAST: Randolph Lodge IOOF will host a sourdough buckwheat cakes and sausage breakfast from 7 a.m. – noon today at the Lodge Hall on the Beverly Five-lane. The menu will include sourdough buckwheat cakes, regular pancakes, biscuits and gravy, sausage, eggs, and coffee, milk or orange juice. Take out will be available.

CHICKEN BURN: American Legion Post 29 will host a chicken burn beginning at 10 a.m. today at the old IGA parking lot. The meal includes a half chicken, baked beans, coleslaw, roll and drink.

MEAT SHOOT: Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5781 will host a meat shoot starting at 10 a.m. today at the post home in Harman. Refreshments will be provided. The last shoot of the year will be Nov. 21. For more information, call Danie Ours at 304-227-4349.

CEMETERY ASSOCIATION BOARD MEETING: Hemlock Community Mt. Olive Cemetery Association Board Meeting will begin at 5 p.m. today at the Mt Olive Church at Hemlock. Trustees will be elected for the year 2021.

REVIVAL AND PRAYER SERVICES: Calvary Church will host revival and prayer services at 7 p.m. Sunday, worship with Regina Greathouse and preaching with Carl Greathouse; and Oct. 25, worship with Tyler Arbogast and preaching with Paul Brady in Valley Head on Route 219. FLU SHOTS: Free community flu shots will be given at the following times: 3 – 5 p.m. Wednesday, Buckhannon Medical Care; 4 – 6 p.m. Oct. 27, during Feed the City, Railyard Restaurant, Elkins; and noon – 1 p.m. Oct. 30, Elkins City Hall.

REPRESENTATIVE FROM THE ATTORNEY GENERAL’S OFFICE: A consumer representative from Attorney General Patrick Morrisey’s Office will conduct public events throughout the north central counties. The office representative will educate consumers on the latest scams in their area, provide tips on how to guard their personal information and answer questions about consumer protection settlements. Scheduled events are: 11 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Parsons Senior Center, 217 Senior Lane, Parsons; 11 a.m. to noon Oct. 27, Upshur County Senior Center front porch, 28 N. Kanawha St., Buckhannon; and 11 a.m. to noon Oct. 28, Randolph County Commission Meeting Room, 4 Randolph Ave., Elkins. The sessions are open to the public; reservations are not required. BONNIE’S BUS: Bonnie’s Bus, a digital mammography center on wheels, will offer digital mammograms and breast care education to women from from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday and Friday, Tri County Health Clinic in Rock Cave. FOOTBALL FRENZY TICKET SALES: Knights of Columbus Council 603 will hold its annual Football Frenzy ticket sales through Friday. A total of 90 cash prizes will be paid out over 10 weeks between Nov. 1 and Jan. 3. If two tickets are purchased, the purchaser may go to the Football Frenzy website listed on the ticket stub to sign up to receive one free ticket. CHRISTIAN HARVEST PARTY: Otterbein United Methodist Church will host a drive-thru Christian Harvest Party from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 28 for all area children and youth, ages 17 and younger at 1100 S. Davis Ave. in Elkins. Church volunteers will deliver special gift bags to your vehicle for all children present. Please enter the alley by the church, which will be one-way for the event, at South Davis Avenue turning at Perfection Plus. REVIVAL: A revival is set for the first Thursday (Nov. 5) of the month through December from 6-8 p.m. at Jawbone Park in Buckhannon. Speakers include Delane McDaniel, with the Key to Life Prison Ministry, and Mike House, with the Ambassador Baptist Church and Elkins Christian Academy.
