ELKINS– Elkins High School Student Government Association officers presented members of the American Legion with a wreath as a token of appreciation for Veterans Day.

Hannah Phillips, student body president, welcomed the American Legion guests, saying, “As student body president I would like to welcome everyone to our Veterans Day Presentation.

“It is my privilege to have the distinct honor to present a small token of appreciation to the American Legion on behalf of Elkins High School. We want to thank all of our past present and future veterans for their service to our country.

“It is no mistake that we honor these outstanding individuals for their great sacrifice and commitment to serving our country on a day that has been dedicated to them,” she said. “Please accept this wreath as a symbol of a gratitude and undying support for all that you have and will continue to do for each and every one of us and our country.”
