The residents of St. Joseph’s Hospital Nursing Care Facility were treated to some special gifts this Christmas season. Recognizing how isolated they are due to the pandemic, hospital staff from a variety of departments participated in an ‘Adopt A Resident’ project. They were provided with gift tags with each resident’s name and age along with gift suggestions. Gifts were wrapped and placed under the Christmas tree for all to enjoy. In addition to gifts, the residents were treated to a special meal catered by local restaurants. The meals were made possible through a generous donation from the Band of Brothers in Upshur County. The group chose this year to donate to the elderly in nursing homes who are especially vulnerable and unable to be with their loved ones.
