VIDALIA ONION SALE: The Tygart Valley Shrine club will have Vidalia Onions for sale 9 a.m. Friday in Elkins at Brian Elliott’s Edward Jones Office, 111 Randolph Ave.; in Belington near Skate Zone; in Parsons at The Southern States and the Tucker County Court House.
MAY FRIENDSHIP DAY: The Buckhannon-Upshur Unit of Church Women United is celebrating May Friendship Day at 1 p.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church Sanctuary in Buckhannon. Masks are required and Social Distancing will be observed.
YARD SALE: The Mill Creek United Methodist Church will host a yard sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. All proceeds will benefit the church.
SPAGHETTI DINNER: The Whitmer United Methodist Church Youth will host a spaghetti dinner from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday. The menu includes spaghetti with homemade sauce, green beans, coleslaw, rolls and dessert. The meal will be carry out only. To place an order call 304-227-4798.
WALKING TOUR: A walking tour of Rich Mountain Battlefield will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday. The event is free and open to the public and those interested in the tour should meet at the Rich Mountain Battlefield on Rich Mountain Road.
GOSPEL CONCERT: Gospel Christian recording artist Westward Road will perform at 7 p.m. Saturday in the Rotary Amphitheater in Elkins Town Square. The concert is being sponsored by Highland Parrish United Methodist Church and COVID-19 protocols are required. Call 304-613-5950 for more information.
GOSPEL SING: There will be a gospel sing at the Blue Rocks Church on Saturday at 7 p.m. Praying for Change will perform, along with Jared and Dayla Harper.
BUCKWHEAT AND PANCAKE BREAKFAST will be hosted by the Randolph Lodge IOOF from 7 a.m. to noon, Saturday, May 15, at the Lodge Hall on the Beverly Five-lane. The menu will include sourdough buckwheat cakes, regular pancakes, biscuits and gravy, eggs, milk, coffee or orange juice. This will be the last feed until September.
MEAT SHOOT: VFW Post 5781 will host a meat shoot, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., May 15, at the post home in Harman. Refreshments will be provided. For information contact, Danie Ours at 304-227-4349. The next shoot will be held June 19.
MEALS ON WHEELS: The annual business meeting of Meals on Wheels of Randolph County Inc. will be 1:30 p.m., Thursday, May 20, in the Fellowship Hall of the Davis Memorial Presbyterian Church of Elkins, 450 Randolph Ave., Elkins. Any one with questions or concerns with Meals on Wheels is encouraged to attend. New members of the board are to be elected at this meeting.
BEVERLY SCHOOL ALUMNI BANQUET: The 87th Beverly School Alumni Banquet will be Saturday, May 29, at the Western Steer Steakhouse in Elkins. Registration will be at 5:30 p.m. CDC guidelines including masks and social distancing are required. Everyone who attended Beverly School is invited to attend. For more information call 304-636-1650.
AL-ANON MEETING: Support group for families of alcoholics and drug addiction meets 7 to 8 p.m. on Wednesdays at the Davis Memorial Presbyterian Church.
MEMBERS EXHIBIT: The Arts Center’s Members’ Exhibit is on display through July 26, 2021. This exhibit is free and open to the public, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday, and from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Wednesday. The exhibit features art by Arts Center Members.
