Midland Elementary Monarch Butterfly Waystation

Submitted photos Several Midland Elementary classrooms partnered up with the Emma Scott Garden Club to plant 180 native species in the school’s pollinator garden. The bed will serve as a Monarch Waystation, and we hope to get national recognition and go on the nation register for having a Monarch Waystation. Elkins Mayor Jerry Marco came out to kick off the day of planting and held a special ribbon cutting ceremony.
