REVIVAL: The Tom Anderson Mission Center, 2796 Abott Road, Adrian, will host a revival at 7 p.m. today with Rev, Ralph Rawls of Asheville, North Carolina. Each night will feature singing. 

TRUNK OR TREAT: There will be a trunk or treat at Harrison Community Church at Mabie 6 to 7:30 p.m. today. Everyone is welcome to attend.  

KUMP HOUSE HALLOWEEN PARTY: Come join the Ghost of Governor H. Guy Kump as the Kump Education Center presents an evening of fun, games and treats. Thursday, Oct. 31 is Governor Kump’s Birthday and will be celebrated with tall tales from the ghost of the governor himself, a fortune teller, and ghostly musicians. There will be games for children, candy treats and more. Thursday Oct. 31 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at 401 Randolph Avenue, across from Kroger.  Parking access on Seneca Road.  For children age 1-12 accompanied by an adult.

FREE ‘SPOOKTACULAR’: will run from 5-9 p.m. Thursday at the Magnolia Hall at Scott Hill, located at 2000 Livingston Avenue in Elkins. Please enter from the Georgetown Road. Kids are invited to travel through Robin’s haunted rooms, see the Headless Horseman, receive lots of candy, and enjoy hay rides with a surprise along the way! Children can come dressed in their Halloween costume, enjoy the bonfire and take part in many more activities.

CRAFT SHOW: will be Saturday, Nov. 2 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.  at the Beverly Fire Department, sponsored by the Fire Department Auxiliary. There is a fee for a table.. To reserve a table, contact Joyce Harper at 304-591-4898 or Lora Hedrick at 304-614-4584. 

BUCKWHEAT BREAKFAST: will be at VFW Post #5781 on Saturday, Nov. 2 from 8-11 a.m. at the post home in Harman.  Buckwheat and regular pancakes, sausage, sausage gravy, fried potatoes, eggs and coffee, milk and juice will be served.

GREENWOOD CEMETERY MEETING: will begin at 2 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 3 at the Presbyterian Church in East Dailey. All relatives of those interred in the cemetery are asked to attend. 

ELECTION DAY SALE:  Tennerton United Methodist Church basement on Nov,  5 from 10a.m. until 2p.m.  There will be hot dogs, baked goods and trash and treasures for sale to support projects of the Tennerton United Methodist Women.  Everyone is welcome.

VETERANS DAY DINNER: American Legion Post 29 will host its 105th Veterans Day Dinner Saturday, Nov. 9.  The meal will be free of charge to veterans. Additional tickets for guests may be purchased. Meal includes baked steak, mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables, salad, dessert and drink. Social Hour at 5:30 p.m. and dinner @ 6:30 p.m.. Guest Speaker is Laura Clark, WV Department of the American Legion Auxiliary President. Limited number of tickets available. Deadline to purchase is Nov. 2. For more information, call 304-636-3930.

INDIGENOUS APPALACHIA SYMPOSIUM: Appalachian Forest National Heritage Area presents a symposium on Indigenous knowledge in Appalachia Saturday, Nov.  9 at the Myles Center on Davis & Elkins campus. Discussions will cover archeological insights, Native culture, traditions, language, and folklore. There is a cost for attendance  and lunch is included in ticket price. Scholarships for free attendance are available for students and AmeriCorps members. Visit afnha.org for registration and more info.
