The Inter-Mountain photo by Sarah Goodrich The city of Buckhannon unveiled a French Creek Freddie statue, installed at Jawbone Park, during its Spring Celebration Tuesday. The afternoon was spent welcoming the first day of spring, as well as celebrating French Creek’s famous groundhog, Freddie. As it was also World Storytelling Day, attendees had the opportunity to listen to the Buckhannon Community Theater read ‘Groundhog Gets a Say.’ The band Enny Corner provided tunes for the celebration, and folks from the Buckhannon Community Garden were available for anyone wanting to plant seeds.
