‘Decorating Diva’ set to offer sewing demonstration

ELKINS — Elkins Sewing Center is delighted to present sewing professional Pam Damour from Champlain, New York.

She is known as “the Decorating Diva” and is continuously morphing and changing the way we sew. Her innovations in the sewing room help you to create in a more efficient and fun way.

Join Damour to see what’s new in her sewing repertoire, as she shares samples and sewing secrets in techniques, quilting, serging, embroidery and more.

Officials say her enthusiasm and knowledge are second only to her sense of humor. Learn how to make designer trims, easy zipper insertions and flawless finishes.

A certified Zentangle teacher, Damour will show you how she’s incorporated Zentangle into many of her sewing and quilting projects. See all the projects from her book, “Hold Everything.” Participants will also be the first to see a sneak preview of her latest book, “Power Serge!”

Officials said the all-day trunk show/lecture/demonstration will start your head spinning with inspiration that you’ll use for years to come. Then join in for an all-day hands-on workshop as she guides you through her techniques to make a perfect bag.

Come to the Sew Inpired trunk show and demonstration from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday. Try the techniques yourself on Saturday, stating at 10 a.m. Lunch is included each day.
