ERCC holds employee recognition event

ELKINS — Elkins Rehabilitation and Care Center recognized employees for reaching milestones in years of service during their Annual Employee Recognition Appreciation Awards held Nov. 5 at the facility.

Fourteen employees were recognized for their years of service in providing complete compassionate care to residents at ERCC. The employees recognized at the event have been employed at ERCC for spans of time ranging from five to 49 years.

“Every day our staff members work very hard to provide the best possible care to our residents,” Tara Shaver, ERCC administrator, said.

She added that having tenured staff is a key component to providing quality care.

“Our employees treat our residents like members of their own family,” she noted. “Our staff members develop lasting relationships with our residents.”

All recognized staff members received a Certificate of Appreciation, ERCC lapel pin with their years of service, and cash award. Those with 25 years of service or more also received an engraved wooden heart plaque.

Six gift cards were also given away during the event, as was a weekend getaway to Canaan Valley Resort.

“Our employees are the lifeblood of this facility,” Shaver noted. “We really appreciate everything they do.

“They go above and beyond to provide the best care possible for our residents,” she added. “We appreciate them and the residents do too.”
