Humane Society benefit set Wednesday

LKINS — The Randolph County Humane Society is excited to host its fifth annual Wine, Spirits & Whiskers fundraising event at Vintage Restaurant & Wine Bar in Elkins Wednesday.

All proceeds from the event, which will run from 6-8 p.m., will benefit the Humane Society.

For a $20 cover charge, guests will enjoy a variety of Vintage’s popular pizza hors d’oeuvres (including vegetarian and gluten free options) and buffalo dip, one complimentary glass of beer or wine and a Meow-Mosa toast, along with drink specials to choose from such as Siamese Sangria, Whisker Sour, Cat-donnay, Jack Russell & Coke and the very popular A-Key-Ta Lime Martini.

Guests can also choose to participate in the wine pull by purchasing a numbered cork for $20 that corresponds to a beautifully wrapped bottle of wine, valued between $5 and $200.

A new feature this year will be live violin music performed by Elizabeth Beard.

Officials encourage residents to bring their friends for a casual evening with great food, your choice of libations, and excellent music in support of a worthy cause in our community.

The Randolph County Humane Society Animal Shelter of Elkins is a small, non-profit animal shelter serving Elkins and the surrounding area in Randolph County. The shelter serves around 2,000 homeless cats, dogs and others per year.
