ELKINS — A Buckhannon woman is facing a felony charge

Lindsey Ann Quigly, 30, is charged with an offense related to adults in custody. Bond was set for $10,000 by Magistrate Rob Elbon.

According to the criminal complaint filed by Corporal S.P. Miller of the West Virginia State Police, Quigly was undergoing the intake process at Tygart Valley Regional Jail where she was being held for charges from Upshur County. The report states that as she was being searched, a “small baggy of a crystallized substance” was discovered in her bra, which was later tested and shown to have a positive reaction to be methamphetamine.”

“Correctional Officers also advised the defendant stated the substance was meth,” Miller wrote. The report additionally states that the baggy and substance had a combined weight of 0.8 grams.

If convicted, Quigly could be facing up to five years in prison.


In an unrelated incident, a Beverly man is facing a felony drug charge.

John Lee Howell, Jr., 47, is charged with possession to deliver a controlled substance and conspiracy. Bond was set for $3,000 cash only by Magistrate Mike Dyer.

If convicted on both charges, Howell could be facing up to 20 years in prison.
