30 individuals arraigned in Randolph County

ELKINS — Thirty individuals were arraigned in Randolph County Circuit Court on Tuesday.

Richard Scott Connally, 30, of Montrose, pleaded not guilty to one count of offense committed by inmate, one count of destruction of building by rioters, one count of destruction of property, and one count of conspiracy by inmates, all felonies.

Connally was captured by police in Montrose after being identified as a fugitive wanted on outstanding warrants from multiple counties.

According to a press release, Connally was spotted in the Montrose area, which prompted a call to the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office on Oct. 19.

The release states that deputies responded to the Montrose area and that they were assisted by the West Virginia State Police and the Tucker County Sheriff’s Office canine unit.

“Deputies were able to locate Connally concealed in an outbuilding, and he was placed under arrest,” the report states.

Connally had previously been spotted in the Elkins area in late September, when he, according to a press release from the West Virginia State Police, “fled from officers into the woods.”

In addition to being wanted on charges in Randolph County, Connally is also wanted in Lewis, Upshur and Barbour counties in addition to being wanted by the Morgantown Police Department.

Connally’s pre-trial conference is to be determined, while jury selection is scheduled for Nov. 12 and trial is set for Nov. 21 and 22.

Brandy Lynn Kerr, 38, of Elkins, was pleaded not guilty one count of burglary, a felony, and one count of grand larceny, a felony.

Kerr’s pre-trial conference is scheduled for Dec. 9 at 9 a.m., while jury selection is scheduled for Jan. 7 and trial is set for Jan 9.

Brett Adam Swecker, 38, an inmate at Tygart Valley Regional Jail, pleaded not guilty to two counts of possession by a prohibited person of a firearm, a felony.

Swecker’s pre-trial conference is scheduled for Dec. 9 at 9 a.m., while jury selection is scheduled for Jan. 7 and trial is set for Jan. 9.

Brian David Lang, 27, of Valley Head, pleaded not guilty four counts of fraudulent use of an access device, a felony.

Lang’s pre-trial conference is scheduled for Dec. 9 at 9 a.m., while jury selection is scheduled for Jan. 7 and trial is set for Jan. 10.

Caleb Lee Goodwin, 27, an inmate at Tygart Valley Regional Jail, pleaded not guilty to one count of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, a felony, and one count of conspiracy, a felony.

Goodwin’s pre-trial conference is scheduled for Dec. 9 at 10:30 a.m., while jury selection is scheduled for Jan. 7 and trial is set for Jan. 10.

Casey Warren Lang, 28, an inmate at Tygart Valley Regional, pleaded not guilty to one count of receiving stolen goods, a felony; and, in a separate indictment, was indicted on three counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, a felony; two counts of conspiracy, a felony; and 14 counts of possession by a prohibited person of a firearm, a misdemeanor.

Lang’s pre-trial conference is scheduled for Feb. 3 at 9 a.m., while jury selection is scheduled for Feb. 11 and trial is set for Feb. 20.

Corey Michael Smith, 24, an inmate at Tygart Valley Regional Jail, pleaded not guilty to one count of malicious assault, a felony.

Smith’s pre-trial conference is scheduled for Feb. 3 at 9 a.m., while jury selection is scheduled for Feb. 11 and trial is set for Feb. 20.

Cornell Lee Smith, 53, an inmate at Tygart Valley Regional Jail, pleaded not guilty to one count of fleeing in a vehicle with reckless Indifference, a felony; one count of driving while license revoked for DUI, third offense, a felony; one count of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, a felony; one count of reckless driving, a misdemeanor; and one count of fleeing from an officer by any means other than the use of a vehicle, a misdemeanor.

In a separate indictment, Smith was indicted on one count of driving while license revoked for DUI, third offense, a felony; and one count of failure to appear, a felony.

Smith’s pre-trial conference is scheduled for Dec. 9 at 10:30 a.m., while jury selection is scheduled for Jan. 7 and trial is set for Jan. 9.

Dalton Dale Irvine, 31, of Marlinton, pleaded not guilty to one count of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, a felony; and one count of conspiracy, a felony.

Irvine’s pre-trial conference is scheduled for Dec. 9 at 1:30 p.m., while jury selection is scheduled for Jan. 7 and trial is set for Jan. 16.

Destiny Marie Lane, 19, of Elkins, pleaded not guilty to one count of obtaining property in return for a worthless check, a felony.

Lane’s pre-trial conference is scheduled for Dec. 9 at 1:30 p.m., while jury selection is scheduled for Jan. 7 and trial is set for Jan. 17.

Harold Clifford Warren, 47, of Elkins, pleaded not guilty to one count of bribery, a felony, one count of obstructing an officer, a misdemeanor, and one count of possession by a prohibited person of a firearm, a misdemeanor.

A pre-trial conference for Williams is scheduled for Dec. 9 at 10:30 a.m., while jury selection is scheduled for Jan. 7 and trial is set for Jan. 17.

Hildie Mae Williams, 29, an inmate at North Central Regional Jail, pleaded not guilty one count of possession of a stolen vehicle, a felony.

Williams’s pre-trial conference is scheduled for Dec. 9 at 1:30 p.m., while jury selection is scheduled for Jan. 7 and trial is set for Jan. 10.

John Martin Lawrence, 26, of Elkins, pleaded not guilty to one count of sexual assault in the first degree, a felony, one count of sexual abuse by a parent, guardian, or custodian, a felony, and one count of incest, a felony.

Lawrence’s pre-trial conference is scheduled for Feb. 3 at 10:30 a.m., while jury selection is scheduled for Feb. 11 and trial is set for Feb. 20.

Joshua Derek Raines, 36, of Elkins, pleaded not guilty to two counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, a felony, and one count of possession by a prohibited person of a firearm, a misdemeanor.

A pre-trial conference for Raines is scheduled for Feb. 3 at 10:30 a.m., while jury selection is scheduled for Feb. 11 and trial is set for Feb. 21.

Kallee Nora McLaughlin, 20, of Elkins, pleaded not guilty to one count of fleeing in a vehicle with reckless indifference, a felony, and one count of operating a motor vehicle exceeding speed limitations, a misdemeanor.

McLaughlin’s pre-trial conference is scheduled for Dec. 9 at 1:30 p.m., while jury selection is scheduled for Jan. 7 and trial is set for Jan. 9.

Kara Brooke Falkner, 25, of Valley Head, pleaded not guilty to three counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, a felony, and one count of conspiracy, a felony.

Falkner’s pre-trial conference is scheduled for Feb. 3 at 9 a.m., while jury selection is scheduled for Feb. 11 and trial is set for Feb. 20.

Katherine Ann Waybright, 48, of Montrose, pleaded not guilty to one count of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, a Felony, and one count of conspiracy, a felony.

Waybright’s pre-trial conference is scheduled for Dec. 9 at 9 a.m., while jury selection is scheduled for Jan. 7 and trial is set for Jan. 10.

Keith Allen Watson, 32, of Elkins, pleaded not guilty to two counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, a felony, and one count of conspiracy, a felony.

Watson’s pre-trial conference is scheduled for Dec. 9 at 1:30 p.m., while jury selection is scheduled for Jan. 7 and trial is set for Jan. 10.

Kimberly Dawn Maxwell, 35, of Elkins, pleaded not guilty to one count of shoplifting, third offense, a felony.

Maxwell’s pre-trial conference is scheduled for Dec. 9 at 1:30 p.m., while jury selection is scheduled for Jan. 7 and trial is set for Jan. 23.

Kyle Brent Hoyman, 29, an inmate at Tygart Valley Regional Jail, pleaded not guilty to one count of sexual assault in the second degree, a felony, and one count of sexual assault in the third degree, a felony.

Hoyman’s pre-trial conference is scheduled for Feb. 3 at 10:30 a.m., while jury selection is scheduled for Feb. 11 and trial is set fro Feb. 20.

Lukas Daniel Thompson, 21, of Parsons, pleaded not guilty to 10 counts of fraudulent use of an access device, a felony.

Thompson’s pre-trial conference is scheduled for Feb. 3 at 9 a.m., while jury selection is scheduled for Feb. 11 and trial is set for Feb. 21.

Michael David Rollins, 30, of Elkins, pleaded not guilty to four counts of fraudulent use of an access device, a felony.

Rollins’s pre-trial conference is scheduled for Dec. 9 at 2:30 p.m., while jury selection is scheduled for Jan. 7 and trial is set for Jan. 10.

Raymond Lee Kirkpatrick, 39, an inmate at Tygart Valley Regional Jail, pleaded not guilty to one count of possession of a stolen vehicle, a felony, one count of fleeing from an officer by any means other than the use of a vehicle, a misdemeanor, and one count of failure to appear, a felony.

Kirkpatrick’s pre-trial conference is scheduled for Dec. 9 at 10:30 a.m., while jury selection is scheduled for Jan. 7 and trial is set for Jan. 24.

Ricky Allen Fortney, 36, an inmate at Tygart Valley Regional Jail, pleaded not guilty to one count of failure to register as a sexual offender or provide notice of registration changes, second or subsequent offense, a felony.

Fortney’s pre-trial conference is scheduled for Dec. 9 at 2:30 p.m., while jury selection is scheduled for Jan.7 and trial is set for Jan. 24.

Robert Wayne Blagg, 35, an inmate at Tygart Valley Regional Jail, pleaded not guilty to two counts of failure to register as a sexual offender or provide notice of registration changes, second or subsequent offense, a felony.

Rocky Michael Wyatt, 29, an inmate at Tygart Valley Regional Jail, pleaded not guilty to two counts of retaliation against a public official or employee, a felony.

Sierra Staten, 33, of Elkins, pleaded not guilty to one count of embezzlement, a felony, and 28 counts of falsifying accounts, a felony.

Staten’s pre-trial conference is scheduled for Feb. 3 at 1:30 p.m., while jury selection is scheduled for Feb. 11 and trial is set for Feb. 20.

Steven James Phares, 31, an inmate at Tygart Valley Regional Jail, pleaded not guilty to one count of fleeing in a vehicle with reckless indifference, a felony, one count of fleeing from an officer by any means other than the use of a vehicle, a misdemeanor, one count of reckless driving, a misdemeanor, one count of no insurance, a misdemeanor, three counts of failure to stop at a posted stop sign, a misdemeanor, and one count of operating a motor vehicle exceeding speed limitations, a misdemeanor.

Phares’s pre-trial conference is scheduled for Feb. 3 at 1:30 p.m., while jury selection is scheduled for Feb. 11 and trial is set for Feb. 20.

Veronica D. Myles, 59, of Fairmont, pleaded not guilty to seven counts of Medicaid fraud, a felony, and one count of fraudulent schemes, a felony.

A pre-trial conference for Myles is scheduled for Feb. 3 at 1:30 p.m., while jury selection is scheduled for Feb. 11 and trial is set for Feb. 21.

Virginia Ellen Fortney, 44, of Elkins, pleaded not guilty to two counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, a felony; and one count of conspiracy, a felony.
