Wildfires Burn in Grant, Pendleton Counties

Photo courtesy of Facebook Wildfires that started on Thursday morning in Smoke Hole have spread and destroyed roughly 2,000 acres of land in Grant and Pendleton counties, the West Virginia Natural Resources Police said. Hunters have been evacuated and the cause of the fire had not been identified by presstime. A representative of the Maysville Volunteer Fire Department in Grant County told The Inter-Mountain that the Upper Tract Fire Department has responded to the emergency.
