BELINGTON — The Belington “Old Fashion Days” events scheduled for today and Saturday have been postponed due to COVID-19 concerns.

The following information was posted to the City of Belington Facebook page:

“Due to recommendations from our local Health Department we are going to have to reschedule our Old Fashion Days,” the post reads.

“With the COVID numbers on the rise and Barbour County possibly going into red we feel it best for the community to take caution. We were looking forward to having a wonderful and fun filled weekend,” the post continues.

“We do apologize for the inconvenience but the safety of our community comes first. We are hoping to reschedule for Veteran’s Day.”
