EHS Homecoming Court announced

ELKINS — Elkins High School has chosen its 2021 Homecoming Court. The Homecoming Queen will be crowned at the football game on Friday at Elkins High School.

Representing the freshman class is Hazel Jackson. Hazel is a member of the EHS soccer team, is a gymnast at Tumble Time and is member of St. Brendan’s Catholic confirmation class. She plans on attending WVU and becoming a marine biologist. She is the daughter of Justin and Macy Jackson.

Representing the sophomore class is Kourtney Nicole Jones. Kourtney is the sophomore class president, is a member of the Rays and Otters swim teams and Spanish National Honor Society. She plans on attending Clemson University and med school with hopes of becoming a trauma surgeon. She is the daughter of JW and Amanda Jones.

Representing the junior class is Miriam Fath. Miriam is a varsity cheerleader, a varsity tennis team member and a dancer. She attends the Presbyterian Church. Her future plan is to attend West Virginia University. She is the daughter of Rick and Tracy Fath.

Princess Anna Grace Belan is a representative of the senior class. She plays varsity soccer, varsity basketball and varsity track. She is also a US soccer licensed referee. She is the senior class president, the student government historian, National Honor Society president and a member of Spanish Honor Society. Anna plans on going to college and majoring in communications and continuing her soccer career. She is the daughter of Stephan and Mandy Belan.

Princess Anna Grace Crumm is a representative of the senior class. She is a member of the Old Brick apprenticeship program and EHS swimming. She serves as the National Honor Society vice president, student government parliamentarian, is a member of class council and Spanish Honor Society. She plans on attending college and majoring in Forensic Science. She is the daughter of Jack and Lisa Crumm.

Princess Mackenzie Nicole Childers is a varsity cheerleader and varsity tennis player. She is a member of student government and Younglife. Mackenzie plans on attending West Virginia University in the fall of 2022 and majoring in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences. She is the daughter of Gary and Melissa Wileman.

Princess Kaleigh Elysse Edwards is a member of the cross country team, the swim team and the track team. She enjoys skiing and traveling. Her future plans include attending Samford or Baylor with a focus in majoring in a health science field. She is the daughter of Christine Edwards.

Princess Sophia Mae Gillipsie is a member of the Elkins High School tennis team. She is an active volunteer and works as a lifeguard at the YMCA. She plans on attending college next fall and studying visual arts. She is the daughter of Sid and Susan Gillipsie.

Princess Madalyn Elizabeth Hickman is the secretary of senior class council, is the student government secretary, is a member of National Honor Society and the EHS swim team. She also has played piano for seven years. She plans on attending college and majoring in biology. She is the daughter of Eric and Melissa Hickman.

Princess Tessa Nicole Martin is a Big 10 All Conference Cheerleader. She is a varsity member of the EHS cheer squad. She is also a member of the yearbook and National Honor Society. She plans on attending West Virginia University and studying Health and Well-being and becoming a physical therapist. She is the daughter of Todd and Susie Martin.

Princess Alexandra Lee Triplett is a member of varsity soccer and varsity basketball. She volunteers as a CCD teacher at the Catholic Church and also volunteers at Davis Medical Center. She is a member of National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society and is a member of class council. She is the EHS Student Body President. She plans on attending college and studying health sciences and going into the medical field. She is the daughter of Jefferson and Sylvia Triplett.

Princess Lainey Joy Tyre is a volunteer with Wyldlife Club at Elkins Middle School. She works as a camp counselor at the YMCA in the summer. She is a member of the competition dance team in Dance by Farrah, as well as dance assistant. She plans on attending college and studying dentistry. She is the daughter of Brian and Sarah Tyre.

Princess Paityn Marie Ware works is a member of the senior class council. She works part-time at Dairy Queen in Elkins. She plans on attending West Virginia University for an undergraduate degree in biochemistry and then going to medical school to study a higher science profession. She is the daughter of Gary and Jennifer Ware.

This year’s flower girl for the Homecoming Court is Paige Roschelle Hammons. She attends Midland Elementary and is in the 2nd grade. She is the daughter of Tinia Taylor, and the niece of EHS principal Carla Lambert. She is two siblings, Connor Hammons and Emberlee Taylor.

The crown bearer for the court will be Maddox Crawford. Maddox attends Jennings Randolph Elementary and is in the 1st grade. He is the son of Megan Phares and Caleb Crawford. His grandparents are Ed and Bobbi Phares and Lisa and Dennis Crawford. He has one sister Maleah.

The Homecoming Queen will be crowned by the 2020 Homecoming Queen, Addie Berdine. The flower girl and crown bearer will be escorted by EHS Principal Carla Lambert.
