MILL CREEK — A Randolph County woman is behind bars after police and the Mountain Region Drug and Violent Crime Task Force allegedly located illegal drugs while serving a search warrant this past Friday.
Pansy Loraine Ray, 42, has been charged with possession with intent to deliver and is being held at the Tygarts Valley Regional Jail on a $75,000 cash only bond set by Randolph County Magistrate Tracy Harper.
The task force along with members of the Randolph County Sheriff’s Department and West Virginia State Police encountered four subjects while serving the warrant at Yokum Trailer Park, according to the criminal complaint.
During the search, officers first located a sandwich bag that contained four individual bags of crystal like substance consistent with methamphetamine, the complaint states. The bag was found in the rear of the sofa in the living room.
Officers also located a large bundle of U.S. currency held together with rubber bands within a vent register in the living room, according to the complaint. Another sandwich bag containing 16 bundles of currency was located duct-taped under the front of the sofa.
A large vacuum seal bag inside a brown paper bag was located in the freezer, according to the police report. It contained a vegetative substance consistent with marijuana. A small bag with a white crystal-like substance was found underneath a bed in one of the bedrooms. A set of digital scales were also found in the same bedroom and a large bag of crystal-like substance was located inside the defendant’s bra.
Police seized a total amount of 9.5 ounces of meth at the location, the report states. Ray allegedly told officers that she had sold methamphetamine during the past month to friends and acquaintances.
