BEVERLY — A local man is behind bars after allegedly threatening two women with a gun.

Branden David-Scott McBee, 31, has been charged with wanton endangerment involving a firearm. He is being held in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail on a $50,000 cash-only bond.

A Randolph County Sheriff’s Office press release, on Tuesday, said deputies responded to the Park Two mobile home park in Beverly in regard to a domestic altercation involving a firearm.

A 911 caller reported a man was threatening a woman with a gun, and the caller heard the man threaten to shoot the woman in the head, the release states.

The Randolph County 911 Center advised deputies that the man with the gun was McBee, and that he was traveling in a silver Volkswagen Passat near the Dodson Run Road, according to the release.

Deputies initiated a traffic stop, placing McBee in custody. Inside the Passat was a firearm and a box of ammunition on the front passenger seat, the release states.

The deputies arrived at the mobile home park, where a woman told them McBee had “entered her home, stood directly in front of her, made threatening statements and pointed a black in color handgun at her head,” according to the release.

Another person who was inside the residence at the time told officers that McBee told him “don’t f**** with me” before walking out the front door. A small child was also present in the home at the time, in another room, the release states.

Another witness told officers he saw McBee threaten another woman and place a gun to her head while they were inside a vehicle, the release reads. Deputies located a loaded pistol magazine on the ground on the passenger side of that vehicle, which was parked in front of the residence.

McBee was previously prohibited from possessing a firearm due to a separate and unrelated prior conviction, according to the release.
