Larry D. Scott

SCOTT

Larry Dale Scott, 46, a resident of Beverly, passed from this life Monday, Aug. 12, 2019, at home surrounded by family and under the care of Mountain Hospice.

Larry was born Friday, Nov. 10, 1972. in Hagerstown, Maryland, a son of Donald Ray Scott and the late Frances Yvonne Corley Scott.

On May 18, 1996, in Montrose, he married the former Nancy Wimer, who survives. They had celebrated 23 years of marriage.

Also left to cherish Larry’s memory are two children, Daniel Duane Scott and Gracie Ann Scott, both of Beverly, two siblings, Willa Kay Gainer and husband, Louie, of Hedgesville and his twin brother, David Wayne Scott of Verona, Virginia, two brothers-in-law, Dale Wimer and wife, Debbie, of Norton and Jerry Wimer and wife, Lisa of Beverly, and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Larry in death besides his mother was one brother, Michael Ray Scott.

Larry was a graduate of Philip Barbour High School with the class of 1991. He worked for the West Virginia Department of Highways at a material inspector. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and woodworking, and he was the Scoutmaster of Troop 66 until he became ill in 2017. He also volunteered with the Junior and Beverly Fire Departments. He was a member of Landmark Baptist Church.

Visitation will be held at the Randolph Funeral Home on Thursday from 5 until 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held from the funeral home chapel on Friday, Aug. 16, at 11 a.m. The Rev. Kenneth P. Shiflet will officiate and interment will follow in Mount Vernon Cemetery near Beverly.
