Nancy Luaver Pudder Barnickel, 66, a resident of Charles Town, passed from this life Friday, Sept. 6, 2019, at home and under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.
Nancy was born Friday, Oct. 3, 1952, in Valley Bend, a daughter of the late Arnold Pudder and Enda McCauley Pudder.
On Dec. 11, 1992, in Howard County, Maryland, she married Gerard Barnickel, who survives.
Also left to cherish her memory are four children, Kimberly Pudder and companion, Timmy Torman, of Ranson, Tammy Fortney of Texas, Buzzy Fortney of Charles Town and Amy Clockfelter and husband, Delbert, of Tennessee; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and four brothers.
Nancy was a graduate of Westminster High School in Maryland. Her favorite job was as a CNA at 57th Place in Phoenix, Arizona. She said the residents were forever in her heart. Nancy was very artistic and loved to paint and draw. The phrase that really sticks when you think of Nancy is she was a “fun kinda gal.”
Visitation will be held at the Randolph Funeral Home Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2019, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., the funeral hour. Interment will follow in Brick Church Cemetery in Huttonsville.
