Patricia F. Tenney

Mrs. Patricia Faye “Pat” McDonald Tenney, 73, a resident of Elkins, departed this life Sunday afternoon Oct. 6, 2019, in the Ruby Memorial Hospital at Morgantown. Death was following a period of declining health.

She was born Nov. 23, 1945, at Barbour County, a daughter of the late Thomas J. and Darlene Moore McDonald.

On Feb. 5, 1983, she was united in marriage to James Christopher Tenney, who survives at their home.

She is survived by one daughter, Lisa Dawn Arbogast Riggs of Dailey; two stepchildren, Allan Tenney and wife, Lisa, of Buckhannon and Kristie Spencer and husband, Mark, of Buckhannon; brother, Thomas W. McDonald and wife, Carol, of Junior; two sisters-in-law, Marlene McDonald of Elkins and Barbara Cowger and husband, Benny, of Bergoo. Additional survivors include two grandchildren, Tyler Pennington and wife, Barbie, of Parsons and Kaley Phillips of Buckhannon; two stepgrandchildren, Iris Tenney and Dawson Tenney, both of Buckhannon; three great grandchildren, Rylan Pennington, Shila Healey and Kayden Healey; and stepgreat grandson, Dawson Shaw.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one infant son, Roger Dale Arbogast; brother, Charles Stanley McDonald; and one grandson, Jonathan Scott Healey.

Pat was a graduate from the Belington High School and was previously employed by Elkins Regional Convalescent Center as a nursing assistant where she worked for 28 years. She was also a homemaker and loved to play bingo. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Friends will be received at the Talbott Funeral Home, 56 N. Brandenburg St. in Belington on Thursday, Oct. 10, from 6 – 9 p.m. and again on Friday from 8 – 11 a.m., the funeral hour, when final rites will be conducted from the funeral home chapel with Benny Cowger officiating. Cremation will follow.
