Frank A. Zambelli

Mr. Frank Anello Zambelli, 65, a resident of Junior, departed this life Saturday evening, Nov. 30, 2019, at his home in Junior. Death was following a period of declining health.

He was born Oct. 14, 1954, at Elkins a son of the late Marion Louie “Babe” Zambelli and Helen F. Cappadony Zambelli.

On July 24, 1976, at Elkins he was united in marriage to the former Janis Ann Miller, who survives at their home.

In addition to his wife he is survived by one daughter, Melissa Bennett and husband, J.R., of Junior; three brothers, Joseph Zambelli and wife, Paula, of Philippi, Christopher Zambelli and wife, Sue, of Beverly, and Michael Zambelli of Belington; and one sister, Brenda Bennett of Elkins.

Additional survivors are two grandsons, Richard Logan Vest and Ryan Lynn Vest, both of Junior; two great-grandsons, Roman Layne Lawrence-Vest and Rhys Liam Vest, mother- in-law Shirley Miller of Junior; and several nieces and nephews that he dearly loved.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister, Rose Zambelli.

Frank was a graduate of Coalton High School with the class of 1972, was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of United Mine Workers Local 2300.

He was a coal miner for over 40 years having been last employed by Cumberland Mining in Waynesburg, Pa. He enjoyed weight-lifting and loved his dog, Tyson, and spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Friends will be received from the Talbott Funeral Home 56 N. Brandenburg Street in Belington on Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2019, from 5 to 9 p.m. and again on Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2019, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., the funeral hour when final rites will be conducted from the funeral home chapel with the Pastor Johnny Paul Williams II officiating. Interment will follow in the K of P Cemetery at Junior, where full military rites will be accorded by the American Legion Post 96 of Belington, along with the United States Army.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be sent in the form of contributions to The Animal Friends of Barbour County, PO Box 452 Philippi, WV 26416.
