John B. Davis

John Blair Davis, 75, of Canaan Valley, passed away Jan. 9, 2020, at Valentines Personal Care Home in Elkins.

He was born April 21, 1944, in Shinnston, a son of the late Blair Judson Davis and Nancy Virginia Smith.

He was preceded in death by his wife in 2001, Frankie Jo Cashdollar, whom he married in 1986.

He is survived by two sons, John Michael Davis and wife, Anissa of Roanoke, Virginia, and Scott Patrick Davis and wife Brenda, of Lost Creek, one daughter, Nancy Ellen Rohrer and husband John of Clarksburg, one grandson, Jacob Michael Rohrer of Clarksburg, two close, personal friends, James and Karen White, and his furry companion, Bo.

Mr. Davis served his country in the United States Navy. He was a high school graduate of Shinnston High School. He had a lifelong career and retired from Dominion Gas as a supervisor. His hobbies including hunting, fishing, walking, camping and spending time at the gun range. He was an avid West Virginia Mountaineer fan. His favorite pastime was to sit on his porch at his home in Canaan Valley watching the sunrises and sunsets.

The family would like to thank the Tucker County Ambulance Service and Valentine’s Personal Care Home for their wonderful care.

Friends will be received at Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home, Monday, Jan. 13, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted following the visitation at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in the Davis Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation in memory of John. Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
