Richard Steve White
Mr. Richard Steve White, 70, a resident of Echo Springs Rd, Belington, departed this life Saturday morning, Jan. 11, 2020, in the Ruby Memorial Hospital at Morgantown. Death was following a period of declining health.
He was born July 12, 1949, at Harman, a son of the late Harvey and Savanah Rhodes White. On Sept. 22, 1994, he was united in marriage to the former Regina Lynn Strawderman, who survives at their home in Belington.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Steven Douglas White of Beverly, Charles Bradley White and wife, Angie, and Jared Steven Little, all of Elkins, and one step-son, Steven Thomas Wirth and wife, Emily, of Wisconsin. Also surviving are two sisters, Judy Arbogast of Ohio and Jean Shreve of Elkins; one brother, Clinton White of North Carolina; and five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death beside his parents is one sister Violet White.
Mr. White had attended the schools of Randolph County and attended two years of college at Virginia Tech majoring in the electrical field, and he was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during the Vietnam War. He was an electrician by trade and formerly employed by Dingess Lumber as a saw filer. Richard was an avid golfer, had a deep love of animals and enjoyed feeding the wild animals around his property.
He was a Pentecostal by faith and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Per Richards request his remains will be cremated and there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, cards of sympathy would be welcomed.
