Macel Louise Boyles Harris

Mrs. Macel Louise Boyles Harris, 83, a resident of Belington, and more recently a resident of The Springfield Masonic Community in Springfield, Ohio, departed this life Friday morning, March 27, 2020, in the care facility following a period of declining health.

She was born Sept. 23, 1936, at Philippi, a daughter of the late William Arthur and Anna Blanche Strawderman Boyles.

On Oct. 20, 1956, she was united in marriage to Robert William Harris, who preceded her in death on Feb. 26, 2010.

She is survived by three children; William Michael Harris and wife Jenny of Springfield, Ohio, Jonathan Luke Harris and wife Lisa of Rush, Kentucky, and Catherine Lynne Harris and husband Robert Pollock of Urbana, Ohio, three sisters; Rose Frey of Moatsville, Blanche Griffith and husband Ronald of Pennsylvania, and Frankie Shreve and husband Kenny of Mabie. Additional survivors include four grandchildren Jeremy Harris, Tyrell Harris, Jessica Harris, and Jackie Harris, and one great grandchild; Xander Harris.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by one sister; Mary Ethel Shaffer, and a brother Clyde Leonard.

Louise was a graduate from Philippi High School with the class of 1956 and was a homemaker, and was a Protestant by faith. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Louise’s request for cremation will be honored and scattering of her cremains will be on the family farm on Hunters Fork Road in Belington.
