Donald R. ‘Don’ Kisner

KISNER

Donald R. “Don” Kisner, 70, a resident of Kerens, passed away Friday, May 7, 2021, in the Ruby Memorial Hospital at Morgantown, West Virginia.

He was born Oct. 11, 1950, at Kerens, a son of the late Robe and Georgie Simmons Kisner.

He was married in May of 1971 to Helen Louise Slaubaugh, who preceded him in death April 26, 2000.

Surviving is one son, Donald E. “Donnie” Kisner of Montrose; and one daughter, Robin Moore of Kerens; three brothers, Brenice “Bunk” Kisner of Montrose, Richard “Dick” Kisner of Kerens and Curtis “Butch” Kisner of Elkins; eight sisters, Wanda June Harper, Roberta May Kalar, Bonnie Ratliff and Sandy Bennett, all of Montrose, Carol Lloyd of Hambleton, Katherine (Kitty) Hamrick and Mary Ann Howell, both of Elkins, and Linda Sue Williams of South Carolina; four grandchildren, Vidilia Douglas, Samuel Miller, Donald E. Kisner II and Amy Miller; three great-grandchildren, Eli Channell, Steven and Noah Douglas; and one step-great grandson, Brian Douglas also survives.

Don was also preceded in death by an infant brother, brother William Glen Kisner; and two sisters, Joyce Lynn and Carolyn Fay Kisner.

He worked for several years for Crazy Harry’s Country Market and was a member of the Leading Creek Volunteer Fire Department.

Don’s request for cremation will be honored.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
