Francis Andrew ‘Andy’ Pritt

Francis Andrew “Andy” Pritt, 63, a resident of Beverly, West Virginia, departed this life late Thursday evening, April 29, 2021, at the Davis Medical Center at Elkins, West Virginia, with his loving family at his side. He had been in declining health although death was unexpected.

He was born Friday, Janu. 3, 1958, at Mill Creek, West Virginia, a son of the late Bonie Hutton Pritt and Ora “Nellie” Howell Pritt.

Surviving are two daughters, Andrea Marie Corley and husband, Craig, and Jessica Ann Pritt, all of Elkins; one son, Roger Isner and wife, Pam, of Elkins; longtime companion, Leanne Kovach Witsoe of Beverly and her family; two brothers, Christopher and Bonnie Pritt; seven grandchildren, Gavin, Owen, Aurora and Holden Isner, Russell and Gabriella Corley and Kaiden Kisner; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death are two brothers, Benjamin and George Madison Pritt; and three sisters, Bessie Catherine Pritt-Bodkin, Katie Belle and Linda Larene Pritt.

He was a graduate of Elkins High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army and the WV Army National Guard for 25-plus years, serving time during Desert Storm with 1st Battalion 201st Field Artillery Regimen. He worked as a parts runner for Bauer’s Lumber Co., and later worked for Chris Polino. He was involved with coaching his children’s baseball team, was a member of the American Legion and V.F.W., and before being disabled enjoyed hunting and fishing.

The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins on Thursday, May 6, 2021, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., the funeral hour.

The Rev. Terry Cannon will officiate and the WV Army National Guard Honor Guard Program, the H.W. Daniel’s Post 29, American Legion and the Tygarts Valley Post 3647 Veterans of Foreign Wars will conduct full military honors.

Cremation will follow with burial at a later date at the Pritt Cemetery on Dry Run at Mill Creek, West Virginia.
