Frank Edward Mallow


Frank Edward Mallow, 75, a resident of Marlinton, passed from life Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2021, at Davis Medical Center in Elkins.

Frank was born July 26, 1946, in Whitmer, a son of the late Covey Edward Mallow and Ethel Maddie Bodkins Mallow.

On Feb. 2, 1982, in Oakland, Maryland, he married the former Bernadette Victoria Matykiewicz, who preceded him in death in 2015.

Left to cherish his memory are four children, Crystal Posey and wife, Shawna, of Elkins, Regina Flanagan and husband, Michael, of Coalton, Angie Livingston and Brenda Gaines, both of Ohio; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mildred, Pauline, Ruby and Margaret “Magpie”; several nieces and nephews; his best friend, Odie; and special friend, Susan Pritt.

Preceding him in death besides his parents and wife was one daughter, Gracie Mallow; one granddaughter, Victoria Flanagan; and three brothers, Gerald, Jim and Tom.

Frank attended the schools of Randolph County and was employed as a dozer operator for Rich Enterprises. He enjoyed being outdoors hunting, fishing, ginsenging and mushroom hunting.

Frank loved Bluegrass music and always had it playing in his truck.

Visitation will be held at the Randolph Funeral Home Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2021, from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m., the funeral hour. Interment will follow in Brick Church Cemetery in Huttonsville. where members of HW Daniels Post 29, American Legion, Tygart Valley Post 3647, Veterans of Foreign Wars will conduct full military honors.
