Kenneth Lee White


Kenneth Lee White, 68, of Newark Ohio, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 28, 2021, at the Cleveland Clinic. He had been in declining health, but death was unexpected.

He was born Nov. 1, 1952, in Harman, West Virginia, to the late Lester R. and Betty (Vance) White of Whitmer West Virginia .

He is survived by his wife, Debra S. (Long) White; and two sons, Shawn (Misty Tillery) White and Cody White, all of Newark Ohio; two grandchildren, Luca and Eric. Siblings left to cherish his memory are Carolyn Sue (Harry) Hardy of Parsons, West Virginia, Patricia (Wayne) Lambert of Beverly, West Virginia, Karen (John) Shaver of Charlotte, North Carolina, Peggy Owens of Rock Hill, South Carolina, Harry White of Rock Hill, South Carolina, Joyce (OW) White of Bowden, West Virginia, Catherine (Gary) VanDevender of Whitmer, West Virginia, Gary White of Whitmer, West Virginia, Philip (Sally) White of Topton, North Carolina, James (Jonnie Mae) of Fort Mill, South Carolina, Donald (Deb) of Spencer Indiana, Larry (Bonnie) White of Red Creek, West Virginia, Mary (Doug) Knight of Denver, North Carolina, Leonard White of Salsbury, North Carolina, and Brian (Christina) White of Oakland, Maryland. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, John (Melodee) White, and William (Teresa) White.

Kenneth was a graduate of Harman High School, Harman, West Virginia, with the class of 1972. He retired from the City of Newark Water Deptartent, after 30 years service.

Kenneth enjoyed coming back to his hometown of Whitmer, West Virginia, and getting together with family and friends.

There will be a memorial service at a later date for Kenneth Lee White. His request for cremation was honored.

Vensil and Chute Funeral Homes of Newark, Ohio, were in charge of the cremation.
