Hubert H. Shreve

Mr. Hubert H. Shreve, 84, of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, passed away Tuesday June 28, 2022, at Laurel Lakes Rehabilitation and Wellness Center, Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. Death was attributed to cancer.

Born Aug. 27, 1937, in Mill Creek, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Hubert Shreve and Kathleen (Cave) Ohlander.

He and his wife, the late Shirley Ann (Bolliger) Shreve, were married on Dec. 24, 1960. Mrs. Shreve died on Jan. 3, 2016.

Mr. Shreve served for over 20 years with the United States Army, including service in Vietnam. He was a member of the American Legion and a member of the Five Forks Brethren in Christ.

He is survived by three children, David Harold Shreve and wife, Rose, of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, William Hodge Shreve and wife, Darla, of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, and Sandra Ann Shreve Walker and her husband, Jim, of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania; five grandchildren, Derek James Walker, Spencer Ray Walker, Brook Rose Stanbery, Christina Mayes and Angela Amyes; one sister, Janice Wamsley of Valley Bend, West Virginia; and several half brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one son, Kevin Ray Shreve.

A graveside service for his cremains will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday July 7, 2022, in the Little Arlington Cemetery in Elkins, West Virginia, where full military rites will be accorded by the United States Army.

The Pastor Bryan Headley will officiate.

Box 22718 Oklahoma City, OK 73123 or to the Franklin County Veterans Affairs at 272 North Second Street, Chambersburg, PA 17201. The Talbott Funeral Home in Belington is in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Hubert H. Shreve.
