Dorothy Marie ‘Dottie’ Teter Hammons

On Monday morning, Oct. 23, 2023, in the quiet of her home, Dorothy Marie “Dottie” Teter Hammons left this world for a much better place. She will be missed by many, however, it was all in God’s perfect plan and timing.
Dottie was born Oct. 27, 1958, a daughter of the late John Teter and Virginia Horrigan Teter.
She is survived by one son, Daniel J. Harmon and wife, Jennifer, of Elkins; brother, Jackie Teter of Frankfort, Illinois; and sister, Linda Teter of Elkins.
Also surviving are six grandchildren, Arthur, Steve, Leland and Gabriella Harmon and Allen and Brian Ramsey.
Dottie was a graduate of Elkins High School and was a homemaker. She enjoyed reading, The Gathers Broadcast and listening to music.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until noon Friday, Oct. 27, 2023, at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins.
A memorial service will be held at noon on Friday with Judy Schoonover Ritchie officiating. Cremation will follow.
