Judith Agnes Poling Valentine

Judith was born Wednesday, Sept. 4, 1940, in Norton, a daughter of the late Willie Poling and Cleo Roy Poling.

Left to cherish Judith’s memory are six children, Mark Christopher Poling and wife, Kitty, of Montrose, Chip Valentine of Junior, Mitzie Valentine Shahan of Elkins, Kenny Valentine of Junior, Shaun Valentine of Elkins and Michelle D. Valentine of Elkins; three adopted daughters, Erica Marie Valentine of Elkins, Tiffany Valentine of Elkins and Michael Dawn Valentine of Philippi; numerous grandchildren; great- grandchildren; a son-in-law, Dennis Sharp of Elkins; and a special cousin with whom she talked to every day, Dottie Koon of Ohio.

Judith was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Michael D. Valentine;and a daughter, Heather Louise Valentine Sharp.

Judith attended the schools of Norton and Coalton. She had worked many jobs including Reidboard Brothers, Davis Memorial Hospital and as a waitress for various restaurants. Her primary focus was being a homemaker and raising her family whom she loved very much. She enjoyed being outside as much as possible, raising her garden and her flowers, and sitting in her shady spot with her dog watching all the animals and nature around her. She will be greatly missed by her family.

Judith’s request for cremation will be honored, and a memorial service is being planned for at later date.
