Dennis Novel Rosencrance

He was born Oct. 8, 1950, in Elkins, West Virginia, the son of the late Junior Novel Rosencrance and Patricia Jean Walden-Rosencrance.

On Oct. 8, 2004, in Worcester, Massachusetts, he was married to Ronald Dion, who survives.

Also surviving are two sisters, Vickie Spitzer and husband, Keith, along with Paula Reedy of Staunton, Virginia; three nephews, Jeramy Spitzer and wife, Karen, along with their two children, Joshua and Kaitlyn of Ruckersville, Virginia, Aaron Spitzer and son, Ayden, of Palmyra, Virginia, and Ryan Spitzer and friend, Joe, of Pineville, North Carolina; and one niece, Nikki Folmar and husband, Jeremy, with their two children, Emma and Abby of Staunton, Virginia.

Dennis attended Robert E Lee High School and graduated in 1968. Dennis was a graduate of Virginia Tech in 1972 and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting. Dennis was a member of the Delta Sigma Pi Fraternity. Dennis went on to be an accountant for the University of Massachusetts Medical School. When living in Kentucky, he was also member of the Lion’s Club.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. until noon on Thursday, Feb. 8, 2024, at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins.

A funeral service will be held at noon Thursday, from the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Brian L. Seders officiating.

Interment will follow in the Brick Church Cemetery near Huttonsville, West Virginia.
