Kimberly Dawn (Conklin) Dean

Mrs. Kimberly Dawn (Conklin) Dean, 53, a resident of Belington, departed this life Sunday morning, Feb. 4, 2024, at her residence. Death was unexpected.

She was born Aug. 28, 1970, at Lakewood, New Jersey, to Daniel T. Conklin, who survives in Florida, and Connie Jane (White) Seech of Belington.

On June 26, 1991, at Belington, she was united in marriage to Jeffrey Lynn Dean, who survives at their residence in Belington.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is survived by one son, Robert Lynn Dean, of Belington; and one daughter, Kayla Dawn Dean and companion, Zachery C. Valentine; and granddaughter, Zayla Jane Valentine, also of Belington.

Additional survivors include a stepmother, Barbara Conklin, of Florida; a stepfather, Jeffrey Mark Seech of Belington; three brothers, Daniel Conklin and wife, Stacie, of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Jacob Seech and wife, Kimberly, of Philippi, West Virginia, and Jud Seech, also of Philippi; and one sister, Corrine (Conklin) Italiano of Oxford, Florida.

Also surviving is a mother-in-law, Brenda Moore and husband, Kenneth, of Grafton, West Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a nephew, Garrett Bradley Seech; and a great-nephew, Rowan Cooper Seech.

Kimberly attended the schools of Barbour County and was a graduate of the Philip Barbour High School with the class of 1988. She was currently employed as the secretary at Belington Elementary School, where she worked for 20-plus years.

Kim loved sitting on her deck and watching the birds every evening, she loved spending time with her granddaughter and she enjoyed all of her children at Belington Elementary School.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Friends will be received at the Talbott Funeral Home, 56 N. Brandenburg Street, in Belington, on Thursday, Feb. 8, 2024, from 2 to 7 p.m. at which time a funeral service will be conducted from the funeral home chapel with the Lay Speaker Joseph Kaiser officiating. Cremation will then follow.

The interment of her cremains will be at a later date.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to Mrs. Kim’s Fun Day C/O Belington Elementary School f 471 Morgantown Pike, Belington, WV 26250.
