Aiden Jeffrey Shaffer, 23, a resident of Elkins, passed from this life Wednesday, May 14, 2025, in Monroe, Louisiana as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
Aiden was born Monday, Aug. 27, 2001, in Elkins, son of Jeffrey Scott Shaffer and Daphne Kay Thompson, both of Elkins.
Also left to cherish Aiden’s memory is his baby girl, Ariella Annette Shaffer and her mother, Lexi Gouer; his stepmother, Stephanie Shaffer; his brother, Alachi Thompson of Tennessee; his stepbrother, Evan Biggs of Elkins; his sisters, Avery Faith Shaffer of Elkins, Adaya Rae Thompson of Beverly and Avianna Thompson of Tennessee; his paternal grandmother, Frances Margaret Shaffer of East Dailey; his maternal grandmother, Kim Thompson of Beverly; his maternal great-grandmother, Annabelle Thompson of Cravensdale; an aunt, Kelsey Silvester of Elkins; two uncles, Brian Shaffer of East Dailey and Chad Thompson of Beverly; a cousin, Tony Silvester; several great- aunts, great-uncles, step-uncles, and many great-cousins.
Preceding Aiden in death was his paternal grandfather, Thomas “Tom” Spencer Shaffer; his maternal grandfather, Keith Thompson; and his maternal great-grandfather, Myron Thompson.
Aiden graduated from Abraxas I Arlene Lissner High School in Marienville, Pennsylvania, with the class of 2020 and had recently moved to Louisiana to work on the pipeline for Price Gregory International. He enjoyed fishing, shooting guns, traveling, working on cars and his motorcycle. He loved making music.
Visitation will be held at Randolph Funeral Home on Thursday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.
Funeral services will be held from the funeral home on Friday, May 23, 2025, at 1 p.m.
Rev. Ann Fretwell will officiate, and interment will follow at Beverly Cemetery in Beverly.
